La información científica en homeopatía
Lic. Iraida Rodríguez Luis1 y Lic. Dayamí Laza Loaces2 Se realizó una búsqueda en la base de datos PubMed (Medline), con los límites siguien- 1. Homeopathy (Palabra clave)2. 1998/2000 (años)3. Humanos Como resultado de las búsquedas bibliográficas se obtuvieron: 82 registros bibliográ- ficos, los cuales fueron procesados y convertidos a una base de datos en el sistema Procite,versión 5. Para la confección de índices y el análisis de los indicadores, el procesamientoestadístico de la información se realizó a través de la hoja de cálculo de Excell.
Las investigaciones en materia de homeopatía durante los años señalados tuvieron su pico máximo en el año 1999, en el cual la comunidad científica internacional trabajóarduamente. Las publicaciones decaen en el año 2000, no obstante, no podemos hablarde una caída de las investigaciones, en tanto no tenemos aún los resultados del año 2000.
Continuamos realizando un análisis de las publicaciones y podemos observar la pre- sencia de un 43 % de las investigaciones dedicadas a la revisión de la literatura, así comoun 24 % a la presentación de artículos originales, el 7 % pertenecen a ensayos controlados,lo cual representa un buen ritmo en las investigaciones, el resto de los artículos son cartas,artículos históricos, etc. (fig. 1).
Los idiomas de publicación están encabezados por el idioma inglés (70 %), seguido del alemán, con un 11 %, el resto de los idiomas prácticamente no son representativos, aunquellama la atención, la publicación de 2 artículos en español, ambos de México (fig. 2).
Según los resultados de nuestra investigación, la revista de mayor impacto es la British Homeopatic Journal, un revista especializada en la temática de Homeopatía, seguida deotra revista especializada en la materia también, la Journal of Alternative ComplementaryMedicine, por lo que podemos afirmar que los autores prefieren publicar en revistas espe-cializadas en Homeopatía, que en revistas de corte general (fig. 3).

Estas investigaciones, han sido llevadas a cabo de forma general en universidades y se destacan países como Estados Unidos 1 y Gran Bretaña. 2 Si realizamos un análisis sobre la productividad de los autores, podemos plantear que es una temática donde se ha trabajado de forma aislada; muchos de los autores tiene un soloartículo, mientras que solo un autor tiene 3 artículos, por lo que discretamente se puedehablar de un liderazgo por parte de Lewith, G., quien trabaja en la School of Medicine,University Medicine, University of Southampton, UK (fig. 4).

Cáncer Podemos concluir entonces que en los últimos años, la homeopatía ha tenido un gran auge entre la comunidad científica internacional, en el tratamiento de las enfermedades antesmencionadas, así como que las investigaciones han tenido su máximo esplendor en las Universidades de EE. UU y Gran Bretaña, pudimos percatarnos también de la existenciade revistas especializadas en Homeopatía, las cuales son de obligatoria revisión para loshomeópatas.
